With the birth of our son, we wanted to eventually add baby pictures to our list of services. We are not quite ready to post prices on our website, but if you are interested in us taking pictures of your newborn, please contact us to discuss introductory pricing.
There is a large sample album available at our SmugMug site for you to see examples of our style.
We can be reached by phone at (573) 823-5058 or by e-mail: photography@dswphoto.com.
Share on FacebookWe are now celebrating the birth of our son, Silas James Watt. We will not be taking pictures at any weddings now through April (with the exception of a very close friend of ours), so for those of you getting married in the coming months, we are sorry that we cannot cover your wedding but we wish you well in your marriages.
Though we will not be doing weddings, we will be offering engagement sessions in the coming months. Right now, the outside world here in Columbia isn’t that pretty, but if you would like a snowy engagement session, assuming we have more snow, we would be willing to do that. We would recommend the campus at Mizzou, Shelter Gardens, or some of the city parks towards the end of March, as that is when the flowers start to come out and the trees turn green again. Mizzou, in particular, has magnolia trees that have big pink blossoms usually in the last week of March. These are just a few suggestions – if you have another location in mind, great!
We also hope to expand into infant photography in the coming months. We will be learning what works well with our son, and be posting examples here. We did some baby pictures for some friends last year, as well as their Christmas cards, and we hope to be able to show those examples as well.

We were asked by some close friends of ours, Shaun and Mary Frances, to take some Christmas Card pictures. These were not officially engagement pictures, though they are hoping to take some in 2009. The fall color was just starting to come out in Columbia, and there was enough yellow and orange in the trees to get a very nice background color.
We picked Grindstone Nature Area in Columbia to take these pictures.
One of my favorite pictures has the couple looking at different cameras. Shaun heard the clue to look into my lens, while Mary Frances was still looking at Summer.
